Home Computer Support

Home Computer Set-up

How little has changed since the early days of the home computer explosion. As if choosing the right laptop or pc wasn't difficult enough there was always the dread of finally extracting all the gubbins from the box. What goes where, where should this go and what the heck is this anyway?

Many of us have tried the type of tactic in this BT advert - wooing the IT chaps with offers of party fun and romance but all the while the objective is to get them to DIFY - Do It For You. After all these geeky guys thoroughly enjoy fiddling with loose slots and twiddling knobs and what else would they be doing of an evening anyway?

Now there needs to be no embarrassment in getting someone else to DIFY and there are plenty of companies that now offer a comprehensive home IT support service covering all your personal computing needs. They will set-up a new computer, connect to the internet, explain what wireless broadband is and discuss if it is right for you. If later you have problems they can offer pc help over the phone or arrange to visit should you need computer repair.

Choose your computer support package - either a monthly fee for ongoing help and advice or simply pay for each consulation of visit. For more information visit the BT IT Support website

PC Help - IT Support over the phone or in the home

Recent research suggests that home home computer users feel let down by the support available when they face problems with their equipment.

The report cobbled together by cheap broadband provider Tiscali claims that over half the common computer problems could be sorted with help over the phone but it takes a major player to offer a full home IT Support service to give PC help both over the phone or if appropriate arrange for an engineer to visit the customer at home for computer repair, install antivirus software and arrange a backup & online storage system for your valuable computer files.

Its not just computers that present us with headaches - with the fast moving technologies that surround us many people are struggling to keep up -
Wireless Broadband, Digital Cameras and camcorders, webcams and even iPods can be deeply frustrating if they don't work straight from the box.

Welcome to my world - not quite a numpty but firmly believe that if whenever possible "Get Someone Else to do it"

Another vote of Confidence for BT Home IT Support

It is next to impossible to get by without a computer at home today. The PC and the Internet have revolutionized our lives having made a massive amount of information and services accessible to us from the comfort of our homes. Regardless of the many technological advances that have allowed us to own super fast computers and high-bandwidth Internet connections for cheap, setting up and maintaining a computer and network system at home is still a huge hassle for the average person.

Some IT home providers realize this and make it their business to help their customers cope with running a computer system. UK’s BT is one such company. They offer an incredible IT support service for those who subscribe to their network. Technical support is accessible via telephone or home visits. Yes, a BT engineer will come to your home and help you set up your computer including tasks such as installing a new Operating System, setting up a new printer or removing spyware from your PC; if you are getting lots of pop-ups when surfing the World Wide Web then chances are that your computer is infected with spyware and BT’s home IT support engineers can help you get rid of them.

The service is not free but BT customers get their money’s worth for the peace of mind that the company offers. In fact, the computer repair service alone is worth the monthly fee. The home IT service certainly makes BT stand out compared to other communication service providers.
